Wilbur is known to many as the resident talking saxophone player on the long running television show Hey Hey It’s Saturday. Wilbur has played saxophone for over 35 years. He studied at the Sydney Conservatorium before enjoying success with Ol’ 55, Jo Jo Zep and the Falcons and touring with Roy Orbison, Skyhooks, Dire Straits, Cold Chisel, Time Tim, Elvis Costello and Garth Brooks. He career has encompassed TV production, comedy writing, public speaking, acting and singing in productions of Hey Hey it’s Cinderella and The New Rocky Horror Show.
