COACHING APPOINTMENT

20 Aug 2019 by Don James

I am excited to announce that the Club has appointed Adam Parker as Senior Coach for the 2020 and 2021 seasons.

Adam, 30, comes to us from the Vermont Football Club where he is currently playing assistant coach and Vice Captain. He has been with Vermont since 2014, having won the Best and Fairest in 2015 and a Premiership last season. Vermont currently sit on top of the table and hopefully another premiership is coming his way this season. Prior to joining Vermont Adam had 5 seasons with Scoresby during which he was senior captain and a Best and Fairest winner. Over his time in the EFL he has been a 4 time Division 1 Team of The Year member. Adam also spent 2 seasons with Casey Scorpions in the VFL and was a member of their leadership group in 2008. Adam is keen to now embark on his coaching journey, having completed his Level 2 accreditation and also having recently filled roles with the Eastern Ranges Under 16’s Squad and the Victorian Schoolboys under 15 squad in addition to his assistants role at Vermont. A Physical Education teacher at Wantirna Secondary College, Adam is ideally placed to take on the coaching position and is eager to take on the challenges that lie ahead – he is keen to make his mark on the Upwey Tecoma Football Netball Club. There will be an opportunity for players and members to meet Adam on Thursday 29th August, prior to our last home game, and I encourage all to come down and show your support as we move forward with Adam into what is an exciting time for the club. Join me in welcoming Adam and his fiancé Laura to the Upwey Tecoma Football Netball Club. Craig Waters
