Vale Charlie Tuplin
It is with much sadness that we advise of the passing of Charles (Charlie) Tuplin who passed away at home Wednesday morning at the wonderful age of 94.
Charlie was a past Secretary and committee member of the Club in the 1950’s and was actively involved during the playing years of his son, Graeme, son in law Frank Moss and later his grandchildren, as well as attending Past Players and Supporters Group luncheons and games in recent years when possible.
As well as his support for the Football Club he was heavily involved with the Cricket Club where he was a Life Member.
Many members were able to share a beer with Charlie recently when he came down to inspect the new rooms and give his vote of approval, while others have been able to catch up with him for a regular Friday night ale at the RSL.
Charlie had a great impact on many past and present members and shared many stories of the way it once was in Upwey and surrounds. He will be sadly missed.
The funeral will be held Friday 28th June at the Boyd Chapel, Springvale Crematorium at 11:30am, followed by a burial on site.
A celebration of Charlies life will then follow at the Upwey Belgrave RSL.
Our thoughts are with his children, Graeme, Dianne, Cheryl, Janette and Keryn, their partners and family.
The Club will wear black armbands as a mark of respect at our next home game on the 29th June v Healesville.
Rest in Peace Charlie.
Craig Waters
President
